As the name suggests, competico.com is a website which provides competitions, for amateur photographers. You pay for your entry, and the cumulated entrance fees will be offered as the prize. If you are not even a photographer by hobby, you could still try your luck. Browse through your old photo albums and find your personal favourite. It could be your lucky charm to winning the prize.

Register for this website and you can start submitting photo for the competitions. Your first photo will not be charged. Each subsequent photo will be charged $1. Be sure to submit your best photo for your first photo. If you win something, you can use that winning cash to submit more photos.

Usually the prize is around $200 to be won for each competition, 25% of which goes to the winner, 15% for 2nd place, 10% for 3rd place and 50% for consolation. There will be quite a number of entrants winning the consolation prize i.e. $2 cash each. If you win that $2, you can put 2 more photos up.

There will be a few categories for you to contest in and every category will be open for 14 days. You can submit as many entries as you wish for every category.
